Modes:
Location: Main Toolbar-View

Normal
Made up of the Outline, Notes, and Slide windows. You can edit all of these windows simultaneousy in this mode

Outline
As the name describes this is where you can create outlines, be forewarned text you insert via extra text boxes will not appear here.

Slide View
Here is when you can add text, edit, place images, movies, audio, and animation. This is the view most people work in.

Slide Sorter
See you entire show at one time, rearrange slides, add slides from other shows, delete slides, and easily add transitions

Slide Show
Show your stuff. This mode will show all of your animations, play your sound, and convey your message. There are 2 different ways to access this mode. The button in the lower left corner of your screen will let you run the show from the slide you are currently on, however if you go to "view- slide show" (F5) you will find that it will begin from the beginning.

Sans Serif (font):Font without end flair. Usually more simplistic in style (i.e. Arial, Tahoma)

Serif (font): Font with end flair. Script fonts usally fall into this category (i.e. Times)

Set Transparency Tool:
Removes 1 color from your photograph. Tip 6.
