Tip 3. Aligning Objects - Method 1
(PowerPoint 2000)

Ever wanted to align 2 or more objects? PowerPoint comes with a variety of ways to align them. First select the objects you want aligned by clicking on them while holding the shift key.

Drawing Toolbar

Next locate your "Drawing" toolbar (If you are unsure if yours is present go to "Tools-Customize-Toolbars-Drawing" or for a more detailed explanation please read Tip 1. Customize the Tool Bars) you will see the word "Draw". After you click on "Draw" select "Align or Distribute", and then align according to your needs.

Helpful Hint:
If you are aligning images on the left side of the page consider aligning them left; on the right side consider aligning them right. This will help keep the audience's focus on the slides center.

PowerPoint allows you to add the "Align" Tools to your toolbars. To customize your Toolbars please read Tip 1. Customize the Toolbars.
